Synthvids

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer a free trial?

There is no free trial. A free account includes 10 SynthCredits, which are enough to research stories and generate scripts, and it can hold your channel settings and uploads. Rendering a video requires a paid plan.

What are SynthCredits, and how many does a video cost?

100 SynthCredits render one AI video clip. A finished video is made of several clips, so its credit cost scales with its length. The cost of a render is shown before you confirm it, and that figure is a maximum: if the finished render uses fewer credits than estimated, the difference is returned to your balance automatically. Current plan allowances are on the pricing page.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Your plan adds a fresh credit allowance to your balance each billing period, and unused credits stay on your account while your plan is active. If you need more before your next renewal, credit packs top up an existing plan at any time and never expire. Packs are a top-up for an active plan rather than a standalone purchase, so a plan needs to be in place first.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, at any time, from Settings then Subscription. Upgrading part-way through a billing period tops that period's credits up to the new plan's allowance rather than adding a second full allowance on top of the first. Downgrading leaves the credits already on your account alone.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, at any time, from Settings then Subscription then Manage Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. We do not pro-rate refunds for a partial period, but we will refund a first subscription payment in full if you ask within 7 days of that charge and have used fewer than 3 credits.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment is by card, through a checkout hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe; we never receive or store full card numbers.

Where can I find my invoices?

In Settings then Subscription then Manage Billing, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Your invoices are there, along with the controls to update your card or cancel your plan.
