What Synthvids does
Synthvids turns a story into a finished video. Let it find a story for you, paste in your own, or give it up to four source articles to combine. From there it writes the script, generates original AI scenes for that story, and hands you a finished cut to edit, post now, or schedule.
It makes both formats YouTube rewards: vertical Shorts and full-length landscape videos. On paid plans, flip one switch and every longform render also cuts a free Short from the same footage. One render, two videos.
Stories worth telling
Finding content is one of the hardest parts of running a channel, so Synthvids gives you several ways in. Type in a story idea and get an editable script, or paste a finished script and render it with one click.
If you'd rather have stories found for you, Synthvids can pull them from a web search, Wikipedia, Hacker News, or the Library of Congress's historical newspaper archives. You can also tell the scraper in plain words what to look for, so discovery can go as wide or as narrow as your channel needs. And if you're still choosing a niche, the built-in niche finder can help.
Your voice, not a voice everyone else uses
Every video gets narration, and you choose how:
- Built-in voices, included with your subscription at no extra credits.
- Your own recorded voice. Record the whole narration in one take or scene by scene with the built-in recorder, and every scene is timed to how you actually read it.
- Your own ElevenLabs voice, if you already have one.
Music works the same way. Upload your own tracks, pin one to use in your next video, or let each render pick at random.
A voice viewers recognize is a big part of what makes a channel feel like a channel.
You get the final cut
Nothing ships just because the machine said it was done. Every render opens in a scene-by-scene editor:
- Swap any scene for your own footage or images, free and unlimited.
- Regenerate a single scene without touching the rest of your cut. The first two retakes on every render are free.
- Import footage from anywhere, whether it's clips from other tools, video from your phone, or anything you have the rights to use.
You can also build libraries of your own footage and still images, and Synthvids will place them where they genuinely fit the script.
Publish on your schedule
